Join the First City Pride Center for It’s 7th Anniversary!

June 22nd 2PM-10PM

With legislation across the United States attacking the queer community, it is more important than ever to come together as a community to be visible, resilient, and show our existence can’t be erased!

To commemorate Stonewall and celebrate community, join us for a free block party on Bull Street between E 31st and E 33rd Street! FCPC will rock the block celebrating our seven-year anniversary and commemorating Stonewall with panel discussions, a reading of the events of Stonewall, musical entertainment, advocacy & community organizations, free HIV testing, the return of the BEAD GAME, food trucks and drinks, and we're just getting started.

EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT

As part of its overall code of conduct, FCPC is committed to ensuring that the Stonewall Block Party 2023 is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.

All Stonewall Block Party 2023 participants agree to refrain from all forms of discrimination, harassment, and bullying (as defined below) in their interactions during the event. This code of conduct applies to all participants, including but not limited to attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, staff, contractors, volunteers, and any other attendees.

Among the behaviors that will not be tolerated are the following:

  • Discrimination is the prejudicial treatment of individuals or groups of people based on their race, ethnicity, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.

  • Sexual harassment is unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

  • Bullying is unwelcome, aggressive behavior involving the use of influence, threat, intimidation, or coercion to dominate others.

  • Speech that is not welcome or that is personally offensive, whether it is based on ethnicity, race, gender, age, body size, disability, veteran status, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other reason.

  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate contact, and unwelcome attention through any medium.

  • Other types of harassment include any written, verbal, or other conduct in any medium directed at individuals or groups of people because of their race, ethnicity, color, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, disability, veteran status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws, that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment.

Behavior that is acceptable to one person may not be acceptable to another, so we ask that you use discretion to be sure that respect is communicated. Harassment intended in a joking manner nevertheless constitutes unacceptable behavior.

Reporting Harassment

Please visit our front desk to report any issues with harassment so we can fill out an incident report. We can connect with security if needed and provide any other emergency resources at our disposal.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

As of March 1, 2022, the City of Savannah’s mask mandate has officially expired. First City Pride Center encourages visitors and staff to wear a mask as needed and continue to follow all CDC guidelines. Requirements and guidelines may change depending on updates to CDC recommendations.

Social Responsibility: As Savannah Pride takes place in a publicly accessible outdoor space, we can not verify vaccination status or recent negative COVID-19 tests of attendees. Please utilize our virtual options for engagement if you would like to attend but have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms. We will add more information soon on our plans to reduce the spread.

Travel Responsibly: As the region recovers from COVID-19, safety guidelines have evolved at attractions, restaurants, shops and hotels. In Savannah, advance tickets or reservations remain recommended or necessary at many spots. Your best bet: Check online or call ahead.
